One I Watch: Ben Saunders

I met Explorer and Polar Expeditionist Ben Saunders a while back, after he had already made history by skiing to the North Pole–solo. We spoke of polar bears and failure, both of which he’s known quite intimately. Right now–as I write this– Ben and his co-adventurer Tarka are six days into the Scott Expedition, the first attempt to retrace the historic trip across the South Pole that Captain Robert Falcon Scott undertook–and perished without completing– in 1911-1912.

Today’s post from Ben is my favorite thus far. Frost flowers!
